About the Company
The North America IT Manager will oversee and support the information technology operations for AB Dynamics North American affiliated group companies. The role is responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and compliant IT environments, including network infrastructure, end-user computing, cybersecurity, website support, and data privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable regulations). This hands-on leadership position ensures IT systems align with business objectives while proactively supporting growth, security, and operational excellence.
What will you be doing?
IT Operations Management:
- Manage and support computer inventory, software applications, updates and deployments.
- Manage and support Microsoft Office 365 environments across all companies.
- Administer Microsoft Defender security platforms and respond to security events.
- Oversee the design, development and maintenance of each company’s independent network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks). Standardization where appropriate is a design goal.
- Coordinate requirements and spending with external vendors for services, such as website hosting, advanced cybersecurity, and telecommunications.
Support and Service Delivery
- Serve as the primary escalation point for IT support issues across all three companies.
- Maintain high availability of business-critical systems, websites, and internal IT resources.
- Provide training and resources for staff to effectively use IT systems.
Cybersecurity and Data Privacy
- Implement, monitor, and enhance cybersecurity best practices using Microsoft Defender and other security tools.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR (Europe), CCPA (California), and other applicable privacy laws, including policy development and audits.
- Lead incident response efforts in case of breaches or data loss.
Project Management
- Plan and execute IT projects such as system upgrades, new software deployments, and network improvements.
- Develop and maintain IT policies, procedures, and documentation.
Strategic Planning and Reporting
- Align IT strategies with company goals across all entities.
- Report regularly to leadership on IT performance, risks, project status, and compliance updates.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and initiatives to improve efficiency and security.
What are we looking for?
- Experience in information technology space and solving various software and hardware problems
- Strong technical problem solving and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Strong experience administering Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Defender environments.
- Proven ability to maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure (Cisco, Ubiquiti, Fortinet, or equivalent).
- Solid understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and general data privacy best practices.
- Experience managing website operations and working with web development vendors or platforms.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities across different business entities.
Preferred Skills
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-900, SC-900, AZ-104) or equivalent security and network certifications.
- Experience supporting companies operating in both North America and Europe.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, or NIST.
- Basic knowledge of CRM systems, ERP systems, and website CMS platforms.
